Beginnings…
As a child, I liked to re-decorate my bedroom as much as Mom allowed – including taping Davy Jones (remember the “Monkees”?) photos to anything that they would stick to. I loved visiting my friend’s homes because it meant I got to see their bedrooms. I didn’t know it then, but my interest in color and design would lead to my passion.
Getting there…
My path to my current livelihood started when I was an interior design student at UT in the early 80’s. A few twists and turns later, design gave way to a career as a paralegal. If it were not for finding a book about the Chinese art of Feng Shui during my lunch hour – I might still be buried in law books. As it turns out – that book brought me back to design and literally changed my life.
I left my paralegal position for eight years of intensive Feng Shui study in Ontario, Los Angeles and Seattle. I class=”mceItemHidden”> was certified as an Advanced Practitioner by Master Joseph Yu, author and founder of the Feng Shui Research Center. I also studied 8 house, Flying Star, and Da Gua systems with Master Shyan Tseng of Taiwan and Form School study with Master Peter Leung in California.
After becoming certified as an International Shui Consultant, I opened an interior design practice based on Feng Shui. Attracting work from Realtors who hired me to stage houses, it wasn’t long before I was interested in expanding my practice to include Real Estate.
Bringing Balance to Real Estate
I launched Balanced Living Properties in 2005, creating a Real Estate Brokerage that goes beyond the traditional model. I focus on bringing a more harmonious experience to buying and selling property. My aspiration is to be guided in business (and life) by Spiritual principles. I find inspiration from helping clients and continue to look for ways to improve my services. Both my partner and I are committed to finding solutions for the highest good.
